TSSE registrations

Your TSSE registration is only confirmed on full payment of the registration fee. A receipt will be issued on payment of the issued invoice. Payment is accepted via online bank payment only.

Registrations for TSSE will close on Tuesday October 14th to enable appropriate final preparations.

TSSE program – subject to change

If any speakers are unable to fulfill their obligations due to unforeseen circumstances (such as travel, illness), Swim People (TSSE organiser) reserve the right to amend the advertised program accordingly. When practical the changes will be advised by email and updated on the TSSE website page.

Your travel, accommodation, others costs and insurance

It is the responsibility of the individual to book and manage their own accommodation and travel for The Swim School Edge 2025. This includes insurance for any financial outlay of you attending TSSE.

The registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is recommended that you take out your own insurance cover for general loss of fees/deposit, airfares, accommodation, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property and repatriation expenses.

The insurance should cover loss arising from the cancellation of the conference by the organisers or the inability to attend due to any reason whatsoever.

No responsibility is taken by Swim People for any person not holding insurance.

Cancellation and refund terms

In the event you need to cancel your registration:
Cancellation received by September 30th: full refund minus a $60.00 administration fee.
Cancellation received from October 1st to 12th: 50% refund minus a $60.00 administration fee.
Cancellations received October 13th or after: Refunds do not apply.

Cancellations must be sent by email – Your cancellation notice will be acknowledged within 3 working days.

TSSE Cancelled or postponed (Force Majeure)

Swim People does not accept any liability for losses incurred if TSSE is cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances or any other events which renders performance of TSSE inadvisable, illegal, impracticable, or impossible.

An unforeseen event shall include but shall not be limited to: an Act of God; infectious disease outbreak, industrial disruptions, service provider failures, governmental restrictions and/or regulations; war or apparent act of war; terrorism or apparent act of terrorism; disaster; civil disorder, disturbance, and/or riots; curtailment, suspension, and/or restriction on transportation; or any other emergency.

Privacy statement

At TSSE, we are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This privacy statement outlines how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you register for or attend our event.

Information we collect

When you engage with the conference (e.g. through registration, email communication, surveys, or participation), we  plan to collect the following personal information:

  • Full name and contact details (email, phone, organisation, job title)

  • Dietary or accessibility requirements (where voluntarily provided)

  • Photos or recordings taken during the event (with notice)

How we use your information

We collect your information for purposes including:

  • Managing event registration and communication, and your event experience

  • Session planning

  • Issuing event updates, reminders, and post-event materials

  • Improving future events through feedback and analysis

  • Complying with any legal or safety obligations

Information sharing

Your information will only be shared:

  • With third-party service providers directly involved in event logistics (e.g. venue, catering, or technology providers), under confidentiality obligations

  • Where required by law or regulation

  • With your consent (e.g. sharing attendee lists or contact details for networking purposes)

Storage and security

All personal information is stored securely, and we take reasonable steps to protect it from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, or disclosure. Where information is held by third-party providers, we ensure they meet appropriate data protection standards.

Photography and media

The event may be photographed or recorded. These images or videos may be used for promotional purposes - website, social media, or in future event materials. If you do not wish to be included, please advise us when registering or notify event staff on the day.
